Review: MECCA
Type: American/Italian Dining
URL: http://www.sfmecca.com/about.htm
This is the first of 3 reviews in my "Graduation Dinner" category. If you haven't been to mecca, get your ass down there. Parking: Valet, food, amazing. Environment was very hip and social. The service was amazing. We were waited on hand and foot, but it wasn't pushy. I had:
SPRING PEA & GOAT CHEESE GNOCCHI
BABY CARROTS , FAVA BEANS, PRESERVED LEMON $12
and then, second course:
ROASTED FULTON FARMS CHICKEN
GREEN GARLIC, OYSTER MUSHROOMS, CORN TRUFFLE $18
Both were very well put together. I felt they went a little heavy on the sauce for the chicken, but the mushrooms were wonderful. Presentation was excellent and the food was great till the end. The flavors blended well and no single item was too overpowering in it's own right.
Great place, and great service. Loved it!
